The following operations can be performed on wires:
• Create new wires using a mouse click and drag.
• Delete a wire by selecting it and pressing the delete key,
or choosing 'Delete Wire' from the menu.
• Change the length by clicking on either end and dragging.
• Change the color by selecting a wire and choosing a
color from the 'Color' menu, or by double-clicking
on the wire.
• Constrain drawing by holding down the shift key.
Movement will be constrained to the direction with the
greatest initial change. Constraint will remain in effect
until the mouse button is released.
Color Note:
There are currently three methods for determining the color of
wires in MacBreadboard.
• by Node - colors the wires according to the node or socket
they are in. +5 is Red, Gnd is Black, Clock is Yellow etc.
• by Length - colors the wires according to the coloring
scheme use by manufacturers of pre-cut and pre-stripped
wire. Color is determined by the length of the wire. A
few examples are 3-Red, 4-Orange, 5-Yellow etc.
• Custom - colors a new or selected wire according to user
selections.
